TWO STUDENTS BRING LAURELS TO THE CITY BY WINNING ACCOLADES IN INTERNATIONAL PAINTING COMPETITION

painting-1Two students of Navi Mumbai have done the city proud by winning silver and gold medal in the II international painting competition held by Yang Ming, a shipping based company in Taiwan.

More than 10000 entries on the theme ‘ Harbour Scenery and Coastal Home’ in the age group of 4 to 15, were received from 45 countries for the competition. Two students of the city had participated in competition are brought laurels to the city by winning a silver and gold medal. While Hari Sai of Apeejay School, Nerul won the Gold medal, Srijita Paul, a student of Fr Agnel Multipurpose school was the sole silver prize winner from India.

These students were art students of Bankim Memorial Child Art Centre. The art teacher stated that they encouraged innovation and creativity in students.
