Photo exhibition showcases the best of Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai: A child holds on to his grandfather’s hand as the two walk through a leafy neighbourhood in Navi Mumbai. The twilight turns the sky scarlet, accentuating the metal girders that form the Vashi bridge. People leave their worries behind and soak in the party spirit at a rain dance. These are some of the photographs being displayed at Reflections 2009-an exhibition organised by photojournalists, including TOI lensmen, based in Navi Mumbai.
Being held at Shivaji Chowk in Vashi from December 20-31, the exhibition showcases the work of 15 photographers.
“We have tried to highlight some of the important events that took place in Navi Mumbai in 2009. Also, we have included some feature photographs,” said one of the organisers.
The news snaps include shots of CBI sleuths recreating the crime scene at Kalamboli where Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar and his driver were shot dead. Feature photos included scintillating nature and wildlife shots.
